GET IN

WEST COAST TOUR
February 18th, 2025 by Jimmy Alvarez
While March is just around the corner, it’s summer at The Warped Tour that is getting a lot of attention. There are a few bands synonymous with that traveling circus that became infamous as a result of the greatest show on earth.
Bands like blink-182 sang about it, NOFX brought it to life, Bad Religion and SUM 41 brought it swagger, Reel Big Fish made it a party and Big D and the Kids Table made it the festival everyone wanted to see and be seen at.

There’s no word just yet on the complete list of which bands will play this summer. Warped Tour made certain bands very famous, and other bands very infamous. Hopefully, when the dust settles, we’ll get to see some of these pioneers reprise their roles as the bands that made Warped Tour, Warped Tour!

As lead singer David McWane often says, “Get In,” their proverbial tour bus as Big D is making a run for the West Coast starting February 28th.
This third-wave ska-punk band from Boston blew up almost immediately with the locals, but once their cover of The Specials’ “Little Bitch” hit, the sky was the limit.
Since then, they have put out a solid array of songs that made them favorites on The Warped Tour circuit. “Shining On,” “The One Day,” “Fatman,” “Steady Riot,” and the uber-fan favorite, “L.A.X.” are just a few of the songs fans love to skank the night away to.
In more recent years, the band has created a solid signature sound with “Strictly Rude,” “Oi DJ,” “Noise Complaint,” “Too Much,” and my personal favorite, “You Buggin’.”
Ask anyone who has seen this band live – fans, music critics and musicians alike and they will tell you Big D dazzles on stage. The horn section is Boingo-Esque, their guitar sound is electricity personified. Their onstage performance is as good as it gets with lead singer, David McWane behind the mic. Rumor has it, we may get a taste of new music from the band on this tour.
Bottom line, Big D has played some of the biggest stages in the world, and alongside some of the biggest bands of the genre. If the Supernova Ska Festival is any judge as to just how crazy fans are for this ska-punk legend, their infamy will only get skankier.

Santa Ana, California
March 2nd, 2025

Joining Big D on this tour are other ska favorites, The Kilograms and Omnigone.
They will land in San Diego at the House of Blues Voodoo Room on February 28th, and then they will play in OC at The Observatory (Constellation Room) on March 2nd.
After that they head to Los Angeles and The Echo to cap off their SoCal leg of the tour on March 3rd.
If you want to have a great night of music and high-energy entertainment, Big D and the Kids Table is the band for you.
