Good Intentions Tour
October 11th, 2025 by Traci Turner
Santa Barbara alt rockers, Toad the Wet Sprocket have extended their Good Intentions Tour to include even more stages in North America, taking them into October. Glen Phillips, Dean Dinning, and Todd Nichols enchanted us in the ‘90s with “All I Want,” “Walk on the Ocean,” “Something’s Always Wrong,” “Fall Down,” and tour namesake, “Good Intentions.” But after 30+ years, they are not resting on those tracks, having released the album “Starting Now” in 2021.
They are also planning to drop an acoustic greatest hits album later this year.
Toad the Wet Sprocket will be joined by KT Tunstall and Vertical Horizon for the September and October dates. For the remaining August performances, they have KT Tunstall, Sixpence None the Richer, and The Jayhawks lending support. (Semisonic was originally slated to play, but had to bow out.)
The remaining dates include the East Coast and South, Hawaii, Vegas, and in California, September 11th in Cerritos at Cerritos Center for the Arts, and September 12th in Thousand Oaks at Fred Kavli Theater.
Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall gave us THE anthem of 2004 with “Suddenly I See.” We can also thank her for the amazing “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” and “Other Side of the World.”
Tunstall’s last release was 2023’s “Face to Face,” an album of duets with the legendary Suzi Quatro, but she also contributed to the recent musical adaptation of “Clueless,” the iconic 1995 movie.
Vertical Horizon was all over the radio waves when they released “Everything You Want;” in fact, as a DJ from that era, I recall playing that song endlessly in 2000!
The alternative rockers from Washington, D.C. also scored with “You’re a God” and “Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning),” and really, the entire album is amazing. Matt Scannell, Ron LaVella, Mark Pacificar, John Wesley have continued to release music since that crazy, insane time and allegedly have new material on the way.
These shows will be incredible no matter which variation of openers you see, so catch some Good Intentions now!
