Coming to Garden Amp
August 28th, 2025 by Jimmy Alvarez
Orange County knows a lot of things, and music is at the top of the list. Being the epicenter for launching some of the biggest names in the music industry, game knows game.
We will soon experience one of those giants when one of the most significant names in the rockabilly / psychobilly world hits the Garden Amp – The Reverend is coming!

He was born James Heath, but we have affectionately known him as The Reverend Horton Heat.
He’s been killing it since 1986, and with electrifying guitar riffs, booming vocals, and the swagger becoming anyone known as “The Rev,” the band has had a string of hits that have entertained fans for decades.
Fans live and scream for “Big Little Baby,” “Psychobilly Freakout,” “One Time for Me,” “Bales of Cocaine,” and “Lie Detector,”
The faithful have come from near and far to get a glimpse of the over-the-top sights and sounds that is a Jim Heath show. Throw in the new album, “Roots of the Rev Volume 1” … and bam, it’s on!

The following The Rev has developed over the decades is incredible. It took a minute, but once he signed to Interscope / Sub Pop in 1994, the band simply blew up.
He even teamed up with Al Jorgensen of Ministry to produce that signature sound that is so distinctly rockabilly mayhem. Truthfully, you haven’t lived until you’ve experienced the thrill of watching the Rev deliver on Lemmy’s “Ace of Spades!”
Ready, set, go out and get your tickets to see a living legend; the Reverend Horton Heat at Garden Amp on September 20th.
If you miss him at Garden Amp, not to worry, you can also see The Rev at Stage Red in Fontana on September 21st, then he will head down the I-5 to play three shows at The Casbah in San Diego on September 24th-26th!
