HALLOWEEN WITH

Returns to the Hollywood Bowl
September 2nd, 2025 by Jimmy Alvarez
It is said that the more things change, the more they stay the same. After all, what would Halloweentime be without the one and only Danny Elfman? It’s unfathomable to consider it.

Luckily for us, we don’t have to ponder such thoughts as the embodiment of Jack Skellington is bringing “The Nightmare Before Christmas” back to life again for another run at the Hollywood Bowl.

Marking a decade that Elfman has been playing the beloved musical adaptation of Tim Burton’s masterpiece, it’s official, the “Nightmare” will play two dates, October 25th and the 26th.
If we’re lucky, we might just get another Steve Bartek sighting and get a little “Dead Man’s Party” courtesy of the Boingo alums.

HOLLYWOOD BOWL
October 25th and 26th
As in years past, it will feature Elfman, who composed the original film music, lyrics, and score as he sings along as the beloved Pumpkin King, as well as Barrel.
The cast has the who’s who of Hollywood playing along and this year is no different. For 2025, we get Janelle Monáe as Sally, Keith David as Oogie Boogie, John Stamos joins the cast to play Lock, and Riki Lindhome will play Shock. No word on who will play Zero.

Bringing the sound to a larger-than-life pinnacle will be the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra while the film plays on the large screens and projected images.
Trust me, it will be all about the music and the performances!

In a recent chat, Elfman said, “I guess it’s safe to say this is becoming a Halloween tradition by now. That makes me so happy. I can’t wait to see all the Halloween freaks, monsters, gods and goddesses to celebrate together!”

Get ready for another incredible night of ghoulish laughs and spooky fun. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
