Solvang’s favorite sons the Mad Caddies have announced a short East Coast and West Coast run of shows later this year. The band has always been pros at melding together elements of punk, ska, reggae and even jazz and ragdoll.

A career spanning three decades, next year will be the 30th anniversary of their debut album, “Quality Soft Core.” Mad Caddies are still touring in support of their 2024 album, “Arrows Room 117.”

They were a part of the legendary Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach last weekend, and had the distinct honor of playing not one, but two sets on Sunday. First, they played an afternoon stripped-down set on the Unplugged stage, squeezing as many of them as they could on the tiny stage.

This was nothing new for lead singer/guitarist Chuck Robertson, who released a stripped down, melodic solo album under the moniker Chuck Robertson and Friends. The Caddies then played regular set on the Octopus stage as the evening took over.

At the end of August, they will begin the Northeast Quick Rip 2026 hitting stops in New York, Rhode Island, New Jersey among other East Coast states. They will be supported by Florida’s Supervillains, “a Swamp-Punk Reggae Ska” band.

They will also be doing a Quick Rip West trip in September. The West Coast tour will kick off at the Garden Amp in Garden Grove on September 3rd and conclude in Denver on September 13th.

Fellow NorCal punk rockers Diesel Boy will be support act for these shows. Tickets for the Garden Amp are on sale now.
