Since the first bloom of alternative rock in the late 1970s, the world has seen countless amazing talents shape the world of music, their records passed down through generations like family heirlooms.
The songs that remain with us through the decades are timeless, speaking to us emotionally. It is time to add another one to the collection for generations to come as we have new music from the multi-platinum alt-rock band, Modest Mouse.
Even if this isn’t your first time around the block of their 30-year discography, there’s no way to comprehend just how tremendous their latest project, “An Eraser and a Maze,” is without giving it a listen.
I highly suggest you do it as soon as possible because it is jam-packed with ballads of past, present and future, bringing you along psychedelic journeys that make you feel as if you are on your way to a distant planet.
The June 2026 album is their first since the passing of their founding drummer, the infamous Jeremiah Green, in 2022. In his honor, the band is back on tour to promote their latest project, and only a month-and-a-half of their fall tour remains.
The band is wrapping up the year with incredible shows, including one in your neck of the woods.
Modest Mouse will play the Hollywood Palladium on October 20th, and you can expect to hear songs from the new album, as well as some of their classics, like “Float On” and “Ocean Breathes Salty.” The atmosphere of the Palladium will be unlike any other this venue has seen before, and it’s sure to be worth more than every second and penny of your time.
