The 2024 OC Fair is ready to launch and promises fun for everyone with the theme “Always a Good Time!”
This Friday Costa Mesa will once again welcome the sights, sounds, and scents of the annual OC Fair for its 23-day run, which means you have until August 18th to experience it for yourself.
With a plethora of thrill-seeking rides, prize-winning games, barns full of farm animals, and a stacked roster of entertainers, fairgoers have no shortage of activities. Many activities are free with Fair admission, including pig racing, petting zoo, and the Sand and Sea Exhibit. There’s also magic shows, live karaoke, pie-eating contests, and the Fair’s costumed characters: Strawberry Jan, Olivia Orange, Sunny Lemon, Carl Cotton Candy, and Cornelious Corn.
The Fair would not be complete without all the incredible food! The Taste of the Fair is back and offers smaller-size food options for $5 every day until 4 p.m.
You can try a Dr. Pepper Pickle Soda or Bacon Churro Fries if you’re feeling daring, but there will be plenty of classics too, funnel cakes, BBQ, deep-fried treats, cinnamon rolls, pizza, floats, ice cream and “everything on a stick.”
Of course we are also excited about the music headed our way. In addition to lots of local music.
Pacific Amphitheatre will have performances from some heavy hitters. Ziggy Marley kicks things off and then we get a ton of incredible acts that include Cannons, UB40 feat. Ali Campbell, The English Beat, Sublime with Rome, Fortunate Youth, X, Reverend Horton Heat, Kool & The Gang, Stray Cats, Rick Springfield, Rebelution, Alice Cooper, The Aquabats, Squeeze, Boy George, and even more!
The Hangar offers tribute bands Red Corvette, Twisted Gypsy, No Duh, and The Long Run join Embajadores del Mariachi Sol de Mexico de Jose Hernandez over the course of the Fair.
You must purchase tickets in advance online – but no transaction fees! – and a limited number of tickets are available each day, so some dates will sell out.
