2025
October 16, 2024 By Traci Turner
As I looked over the list of bands announced for the 2025 edition of Sick New World, I just kept saying, “Yes. Yes. Yeeeessss!” Seriously, how freakin’ awesome is this bill?
The Las Vegas festival has tapped Linkin Park and Metallica as headliners with Queens Of The Stone Age, Evanescence, Gojira (Paris Olympics castle!), AFI, Ministry, Filter, The Flaming Lips, 311, The Sisters of Mercy, Stabbing Westward, X, Cradle of Filth, Cannibal Corpse, Orgy, Lacuna Coil, and tons more (50 bands announced so far!).

Metallica is in the midst of their M72 world tour which sees them playing two nights in each city, but with different set lists each show.
With their decades of hits, there is something for everyone – whether it be the ear-blasting “Fuel,” or the soul-crushing “Nothing Else Matters.”
Linkin Park is THE band of the moment, having returned from their longtime hiatus after the death of Chester Bennington. Reformed and with a new vocalist, Emily Armstrong, the nu-metal band will release “From Zero” on November 15th, their first album since 2017.
So far they have dropped singles “The Emptiness Machine” and “Heavy Is the Crown,” which features a goosebump-inducing scream from Armstrong at 2:12.
This will be the third year for the industrial/rock/nu-metal festival, slated for April 12th at Las Vegas Festival Grounds.
OC Music News will cover the mayhem, but it would be better with you there. Tickets go on sale Friday at a variety of price points. Check out the festival’s site for the presale.
