“LONG LIVE” THE BLACK PARADE
2025 NORTH AMERICAN STADIUM TOUR
November 12, 2024 by Holly Jones
In 2001 we got a glimpse at the future. They suggested we’d clean up your looks with all the lies in the books to make a citizen out of us.
Well… not sure how well those prognostications worked out, but for My Chemical Romance, they put out some great music that remains a part of the fabric of society. And in 2025, they will be back to lead us on another parade of iconic music and sobering messages.
Following up on the unreal performance at When We Were Young Fest, My Chem announced they will play a Live Nation tour that will cover 10 select cities and feature openers that are just as larger-than-life in their own regard.
Each show will feature a different opener: Violent Femmes, 100 Gecs, Wallows, Garbage, Death Cab for Cutie, Alice Cooper, Pixies, DEVO, IDLES and Evanescence.

The band said, “It has been seventeen years since The Black Parade was sent to the MOAT. In that time, a great Dictator has risen to power, bringing about ‘THE CONCRETE AGE’; a glorious time of stability and abundance in the history of DRAAG,” the band posted on social media to announce the tour. “His Grand Immortal Dictator wishes to celebrate our rich and storied culture, fine foods, and musical entertainments by welcoming you to these great demonstrations of power and resolve. And lending voice and song for the first time in six thousand two hundred and forty-six days, their work privilege ceremoniously reinstated, will be His Grand Immortal Dictator’s National Band… The Black Parade.”
Fans of the alt rock-goth-emo-punk sensations from Jersey can’t wait to see Gerard Way get behind the mic again along with Ray Toro, Mikey Way and Frank Lero.
You can expect them to to belt out era defining hits, “Teenagers,” “The Ghost of You,” “Boy Division,” “I’m Not Okay (I Promise),” “Helena,” and their anthem, “Welcome to the Black Parade.”
For everyone near SoCal, they will play Dodger Stadium July 26th, 2025!
Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, November 15th! Ready, set… GO!!!!
