Alex’s Bar in Long Beach is the place to be on December 7th as Punk Rock Gives Back hosts an artist reception and ornament auction with musical guests Urethane, Linh Le (Bad Cop/Bad Cop), The Jack Knives, Greg Antista and Frank Agnew, Rudy Nuno, and Unsound Sunday.

“One of a kind works of art dialed down to ‘ornament size’” by creators spotlight charities that have been making a difference. The artists will be onsite to chat, sign autographs, and of course, party for a worthy cause. The artists who have created these masterpieces include rock stars, professional skateboarders, album cover artists, and tattoo artists, so you know it is going to be pretty dang awesome.

Attendees will enjoy “an artist workshop, music, celebrity guest appearances, food, drinks and the opportunity to win a small scale work of art.” Winners can take home an ornament of their very own – whether it is for the tree or a year-round décor piece.

This event is 21+ and winning bids are tax deductible as they support charitable causes Rock and Roll Rescue, MusiCares, American Diabetes, Association, Musack, SavageLands, Living the Dream Foundation, and more.

Punk Rock Gives Back is also hosting a holiday tree pop-up preview at the Downtown Art Gallery in The Shoppes at Chino Hills. Stop by December 4th between 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. or December 6th between 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. and you can examine the ornaments up close to prepare for bidding wars.

If you can’t attend in person, no worries – the tax-deductible ornament auction is online! Starting December 1st, you can begin browsing and bidding through the online platform.

Punk Rock Gives Back plays a vital role as “a resource and partner for individuals, businesses, musicians, and artists to develop events and endeavors that serve the greater good. Punk rock culture is at the heart of this charity. We believe that there are some things in our world that are messed up. Together we can do our part to make it better!”
