Opens The Year at The Observatory
December 15, 2024 by Dan Barba
After the confetti has been cleaned up, the champagne glasses stored away, and the hangover mercifully resolved, you will be ready to celebrate the new year with T.S.O.L. at The Observatory on January 4th.
T.S.O.L. (True Sounds of Liberty) have played sold out shows at The Observatory before, so be ready for a night of punk perfection with capacity crowds.
With the larger-than-life Jack Grisham behind the mic, Ron Emory on guitar, Mike Roche on bass, Greg Kuehn on piano and synths, and Antonio Val Hernandez on drums, T.S.O.L. has earned the love of fans with “Code Blue,” “Flowers by the Door,” “Abolish Government/Silent Majority,” “Sounds of Laughter,” “Red Shadows,” and “Colors.”
As a result of their previous sellouts, Grisham and company hosted their first ever Planet of the Apes Fest – an evening of pure punk rock aggression – at the venue.
Grisham has mentioned he was near retirement, making some wonder if that was going to be it for the punk band. Thankfully, it was not.

The same night, Roche – who had been absent from live shows for more than a year – made a surprise appearance. The band recently announced his Parkinson’s diagnosis, but Brandon Reza has been filling in and doing an incredible job.
T.S.O.L. is bringing several friends along for the night. Three Bad Jacks, I Forget, and Noogy will help keep The Observatory hoppin,’ and The Constellation Room will also be rockin’ with Radolescents, Das Klown, Funerol, and Marvelous.

This will be night of music you shouldn’t miss. All of these bands produce some of the finest music that has ever come out of Orange County, so you need to experience it.
It’s an all ages show and tickets are available now.
