Tour Comes to SoCal
January 8, 2025 by Christina Sanchez
If you’re looking to end Valentine’s Day weekend on a high note, I recommend snagging a pair of tickets to see Theory of a Deadman: Unplugged at the Fox Theater in Riverside.
While TOAD is incredible enough, Ayron Jones and Mick Blankenship will open this stacked show on February 16th.
Canadian rockers Theory of a Deadman have eight solid albums under their belt and have won affection from fans thanks to “Lowlife,” “History of Violence,” “RX,” “Bad Girlfriend,” and “Angel.” Their 20+ year career began when they were the very first band signed to Nickelback singer, Chad Kroeger’s, record label, 604 Records.
Theory of a Deadman still contains founding members Tyler Connolly on vocals and guitar, Dave Brenner on guitar, and Dean Back on bass, with Joey Dandeneau handling drums since 2009.

This tour has just over a dozen US dates, starting February 6th in Memphis, and wrapping up February 25th Washington, before they continue into Canada. They are touring in support of their new album, “Living My Life Like a Country Song,” which is available now.
My favorite artist out of this lineup is Ayron Jones. The Seattle singer/songwriter is one of the greatest guitar players I have ever seen, and he definitely carries the spirit of Jimi Hendrix with him in his playing.
Jones was discovered by ‘80’s legend, Sir-Mix-A-Lot, who even recorded his first album for free. Since then, Jones has played with all the biggest names in the music business, as well as having had the number one rock song in the country, “Blood in the Water.” He crosses many genres with his music, including blues, hip hop, grunge, hard rock and soul.
Make plans to celebrate Valentine’s at the Fox Theater on February 16th, or you have the opportunity to see them play San Diego at the Magnolia on February 18th.
