RONNIE MONTROSE
Remembered in Anaheim
January 17, 2025 by Kevin Gomez
For over a century, the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) have held the annual NAMM show, the trade show for musicians referred to as “the industry’s largest stage, uniting the global music, sound and entertainment technology communities.” Since 1970, Southern California has been fortunate to host the yearly event at the famed Anaheim Convention Center. This year, in collaboration with the House of Blues Anaheim, NAMM proudly presents The Ronnie Montrose Remembered VIP NAMM JAMM.

Ronnie Montrose is often noted as one of the greatest and most influential rock guitarists in music. He is perhaps known best for founding the legendary music group Montrose, featuring a young Sammy Hagar on lead vocals. Their self-titled debut album would go on to reach platinum status led by the hit singles, “Bad Motor Scooter,” “Good Rockin’ Tonight” and “Rock Candy.”
Montrose is often remembered as the founding member of Gamma, while his innovative and talented playing led to a long career as a successful session musician, playing with Van Morrison, Herbie Hancock, and Boz Scaggs.

Montrose sadly passed away in 2012, and since then Ronnie Montrose Remembered has held several concerts in memoriam for the trailblazing musician. The tribute is the brainchild of close friend and longtime collaborator Keith St John, who played together with Montrose for the last 13 years of his life.
Montrose’s legacy has spanned several decades and can still be seen on bands starting every day. The evening will feature a never-ending list of performers who were influenced by Montrose including, David Ellefson of Megadeth, Stacey Blades of L.A. Guns, Les Warner of The Cult, Miles Schon of Puddle of Mudd, and many, many more.
The night will feature several performances showcasing the long career of Ronnie Montrose in all his incarnations over the years, including guest speakers, video highlights, as well as several undisclosed surprise cameos.
The evening will be hosted by Live 105’s Marci Wiser, well known in the Los Angeles area for her longtime gig at KLOS.
The Ronnie Montrose Remembered VIP NAMM JAMM is set for January 24th at House of Blues in Anaheim.
The Show will be a banger, so get your tickets before it sells out!
