THE RETURN
OF

February 10, 2025 by Jimmy Alvarez
Back in December, we received a small peek into the future for a surprise reunion. Everyone thought it was a one and done kind of show, but it turns out it has become reality and it’s official: Alabama Shakes is back and ready to hit the road in 2025!
It’s been a minute since we’ve seen them; eight years to be exact. We loved them at Brookside at The Rose Bowl and Ohana Fest, and now Brittany Howard, Heath Fogg, and Zac Cockrell are back at it with a U.S. Tour.

The buzz is all about new music that is forthcoming with longtime collaborator Shawn Everett. Recently, Howard said, “This band and these songs have been such a source of joy for all of us. It is crazy that it has been 10 years since we released Sound and Color and eight years since we played a show. But we didn’t want this to entirely be a look back. We wanted it to be as much about the future as the past. So, we have a bunch of new music that will be released soon. We just can’t wait to experience that ‘feeling’ when we start playing those first few notes of ‘Don’t Wanna Fight’ or ‘Gimme All Your Love.’”
The Alabama Shakes are best known for songs that touched the musical souls of their worldwide fanbase, “Don’t Wanna Fight,” “Sound and Color,” and of course, their international masterpiece, “Hold On.”
Truthfully, you have to see them live to really appreciate their mastery of music and that voice. Howard can really bring it; she has one of those voices you will never forget.

The tour begins on July 16th in the Windy City (Chicago). It then takes off, heading throughout the US.
Lots of support for this tour, depending on the venue of course – you can catch Bahamas, Shannon and the Clams, El Michels Affair, The Budos Band, Sam Evian, Lee Fields, Greyhounds, Y La Bamba, Caleb Elliott, and Alanna Royale.
