Sparkle and Fade 30th Anniversary Tour
March 11th, 2025 by Traci Turner
The alternative rock heroes known as Everclear will honor the 30th anniversary of their classic “Sparkle and Fade” album with a nationwide tour.
Founder Art Alexakis and company will bring Local H and Sponge along for the journey.

The Oregon band became ‘90s icons thanks to songs like “Father of Mine,” “Everything to Everyone,” and “I Will Buy You a New Life.”
But before we fell in love with those songs, “Sparkle and Fade” gave us “Summerland,” “Heroin Girl,” “You Make Me Feel Like a Whore,” and the masterpiece, “Santa Monica.”
While it is the trend recently for bands to play their albums start to finish at anniversary shows, that is not the plan. “In addition to all the hits and fan favorites, we’re going to pretty much play the whole album through the course of the show to commemorate this 30th anniversary,”
Alexakis said. “If you are a fan of this record, you do not want to miss this tour!”

With Art Alexakis still at the mic and guitar, Everclear remains solid with Dave French also on guitar, Freddy Herrera on bass, and Brian Nolan on drums.
Local H brought us “Bound for the Floor,” which will forever be called “that copasetic song!” The Illinois band founded by Scott Lucas did an incredible job when we saw them touring with Soul Asylum a few years ago. Lucas and Ryan Harding put on a fantastic show, and will rock perfectly with Everclear.
Detroit’s Sponge is another beloved ‘90s act that still rocks hard. Front-man and founding member, Vinnie Dombroski, will not let you down when they dish out their “Rotting Pinata” hits, “Plowed” and “Molly (16 Candles).”
The 40-date tour kicks off in LA on September 4th at The Regent Theater and works its way across the US to the East Coast.

Los Angeles, California

After stops in cities like Denver, Austin, Orlando, Boston, Cleveland, the tour wraps up November 2nd in Chicago.
Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
