SAN DIEGO COUNTY FAIR
2025 LINEUP ANNOUNCED
March 13th, 2025 by Jimmy Alvarez
Now that the sun sets later into the Pacific, it reminds us that summer is right around the corner. There’s nothing more synonymous with summer than the multiple concert series at the many incredible venues throughout Southern California.
First out of the gate with their lineup is the San Diego County Fair.
Every year, this iconic event books some of the biggest names in the music business, and this year’s lineup is just as epic as in years past.

Playing at this year’s Toyota Summer Concert Series are bands that offer a little bit of everything for everybody.
The fair kicks off June 11th with Live and Collective Soul. These two bands cannot be ignored when discussing the ‘90’s alt rock era as they were on heavy rotation at SoCal radio stations KROQ, KLOS, and 91X.

Born out of Pennsylvania, Live’s 1994 album, “Throwing Copper,” made them legends. Ed Kowalczyk still fronts the band, so you will hear his familiar voice on the classics, “Lightning Crashes,” “I Alone,” “Selling the Drama,” “Pain Lies on the Riverside,” “All Over You,” “The Dolphin’s Cry,” and “Lakini’s Juice.”
You forget how many hits they had until you start typing them out!
Collective Soul came to us from Georgia, courtesy of brothers Ed and Dean Roland. With Will Turpin still along for the ride, they are rounded out by Johnny Rabb and Jesse Triplett.
Another band that gave us so many incredible, radio-friendly hits, Collective Soul puts on an energetic and musically solid show. Catch them live for “Heavy,” “Shine,” “December,” “The World I Know,” “Where the River Flows,” “Why Pt. 2,” and “Tremble for My Beloved.”

Also headed to the SD Fair this summer are Foreigner, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Third Eye Blind, Maxwell, Jordan Davis, Xscape, 2 Chainz & Lil Jon, Los Tucanes de Tijuana, and Ziggy Marley.
Any music you like, they have it for you!
Of course, the fair itself is a tradition – all the food, rides, games, exhibits! – and they have even brought back the season pass program! You can purchase the standard season pass or the brand-new “Fair Fanatic” pass.
The standard season pass is $65 and allows for every day admission without reservations.
The new “Fair Fanatic” pass is $160 and of course includes the daily admission, but also a commemorative lanyard and pass, refillable souvenir cup and discounted refills, parking discount, discounted FastPass and additional admission tickets, 15% off fair merchandise, plus several more goodies.

The San Diego County Fair opens June 11th and runs through July 6th at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
Stay tuned as more musical acts will be announced on April 21st. Tickets for concerts go on sale today and include same-day admission to the fair!
