Helping Hands Concert & Auction
July 22, 2024 by David Jackson
Metallica’s M72 Tour is slowly winding down. From the tour’s first show last year to where we are now, the atmosphere has been nothing short of numbing to the core. While they already stopped by our area last year, eyes are set on the band’s return to SoCal. But it’s not just any old show; the band returns to Los Angeles for their fourth biennial Helping Hands Concert & Auction on December 13th at YouTube Theater.
The band said, “We’re excited to announce that we will again have the honor of our dear friend Jimmy Kimmel hosting the night, with other special guests to be announced soon. We’re looking forward to celebrating the achievements of All Within My Hands together with you, live and in person! We have an exciting night planned, along with some amazing items and experiences that will be auctioned off, all to benefit the Foundation. As always, 100% of ticket and auction proceeds go directly to those in need.”

It is unbelievable to think about, but the band has been part of our lives for over 40 years. Led by vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield, drummer extraordinaire Lars Ulrich, guitarist Kirk Hammett, and bassist Robert Trujillo, Metallica is all that is right about rock and roll.
With clever lyrics, booming drums, soul piercing guitar riffs, and haunting vocals, this band is more than the “Master of Puppets.”
Their sonic vision has led them to put out some of the most epic songs of the genre, leading their fans to rock Valhalla with “Enter Sandman,” “One,” “Orion,” “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” “Seek and Destroy,” “The Unforgiven,” “Fuel,” “Master of Puppets,” and “Nothing Else Matters.” This band not only defined an era and genre, but a lifestyle.
Songs off their latest album, “72 Seasons,” are also hitting all the right chords with the band’s faithful followers. Screams can be heard throughout any stadium they play at for “Screaming Suicide,” “If Darkness Had a Son,” and “Lux Æterna.”
Created in 2017, All Within My Hands partners with organizations around the world to “combat food insecurity, provide funds in areas of natural disaster, and support education with the ground-breaking Metallica Scholars program.”

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. PT. Fan Club members may purchase their seats on Wednesday with the Legacy Member presale beginning at 10 a.m. and the Fifth Member presale starting at 12 p.m.
Best of luck getting into this incredible and intimate show with the one and only Metallica!
